What Is Ketamine Therapy?
Ketamine therapy is a proven treatment method that has demonstrated remarkable effectiveness in addressing a range of mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and tendencies or thoughts toward self-harm. Originally utilized as an anesthetic, extensive research has been conducted on ketamine's benefits in the realm of mental health treatment. It offers quick alleviation for individuals grappling with intense thoughts and stress. At Serenity Mental Health Centers in Gilbert, AZ, our healthcare professionals might suggest ketamine therapy infusions as a swift approach to ease symptoms associated with PTSD, OCD, anxiety, or depression.
How Is Ketamine Therapy Administered?
Ketamine infusions are delivered through an intravenous (IV) route, ensuring accurate dosage and minimizing side effects. Treatments are conducted in a secure and cozy setting under the care of a skilled registered nurse. We invite patients to bring along a book, headphones, or any preferred leisure activity to make their experience more enjoyable. Adhering to a patient-centered approach, we customize each session to meet the specific needs of our patients, with most treatments concluding in under two hours. Typically, a series of approximately six sessions is advised to achieve optimal results.
What To Expect After Ketamine Therapy
Following a ketamine therapy session, your body and mind will begin to adapt to the treatment, leading to a variety of experiences. Right after the session, it's normal to feel a bit groggy or disoriented, so arranging for someone to drive you home is essential. These initial feelings usually fade within a few hours, making way for a sense of clarity and tranquility. Many patients notice a significant reduction in depressive symptoms and anxiety, along with enhanced mood and mental sharpness in the days following the therapy. Regular follow-up appointments are typical to track your progress and address any side effects, which tend to be mild and short-lived. Ultimately, ketamine therapy can be a profoundly transformative treatment, offering relief when other methods have not succeeded.

Ketamine Therapy Reviews
Serenity really cares about the patient, all the staff are friendly, and encouraging, Dr Tripp is great,, always attentive and listens to you. It's the best place for your mental health!
My TMS tech Sarah was amazing. She was kind, really cared about me getting well, and was very down to earth and attentive. She treated me like a person not a patient. I will miss her now that I'm done with treatments.
I was/am very happy with Serenity. I just went thru TMS. My depression was mostly eliminated. However, my anxiety is still there, though to a lesser degree.
I have been seeing Dr Trip for about 8 years now .I'm extremely thankful to have such a caring psych Doctor. He always listens to my mental health concerns and does an amazing job to help me resolve them. I've never had issues with refills . The rest of the team is top notch as well
Dr. Dahl is fantastic. It takes great notes. He talks to me and answers all my questions makes sure we have a good plan. Never makes me feel rushed even when I realize I'm talking too much. Serenity mental health center in general is also a facility I recommend. There was a shortage on one of my medications for months. And so I would call. They would get a message to the doctor and we would switch it to an alternative that the pharmacies had available. When sending a message through the portal or leaving a voicemail they call back the same day. I turn around time for the refill or what not to get to the pharmacy they say is up to 72 hours. It's usually less than 24. I definitely recommend this office. Even if you can't get in to see the same doctor. Your mental health is important. This is a great place to get help.
